W.K. Kellog Foundation

W.K. Kellog Foundation (WKKF) has been an outstanding foundation in which they support Truth, Racial Healing & Transformation (TRHT) to better help children in the United States to thrive. In the beginning of the healing process they acknowledge that there is racism and that it does effect individuals within our systems, institutions, and community.  Then it turns into the racial healing circle which includes 3 steps. 1) Listening, 2) Becoming open to one another's perspectives and experiences, 3) And allowing yourself to be impacted and/or transformed by the experience. A trained healing practitioner facilitates the circle and guide the conversation. The purpose of this circle is to connect people socially through having a mutual respect of each other's wisdom, morals, principles, and guidance. WKKF holds annual conferences for the America Healing initiative, that they service their healing circles under, one full day would be dedicated to the healing circle and about 500 attendees participate. Some good that have come out of these healing circles is organizations like Little Black Pearl Art and Design Academy, that is a program in the high school community that helps students thrive in the spirit of racial healing, education, and opportunities.  Programs like this is what WKKF invest in to help individual pursue racial healing and using racial healing circles to better their community.
